Today marks the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley’s death

Today is the 30th anniversary of legendary reggae artist Bob Marley’s death. Marley was born in 1945 in Jamaica and passed away in 1981 in Miami, from cancer.  During his short life he surpassed the status of icon and is regarded by many as a prophet and visionary. He is accredited with bringing reggae and the Rastafarian religion out of the Jamaican ghetto and sharing it with the world.  Marley’s band, The Wailers, included iconic musicians Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.
